This song was one of Melissa Hyman's first, written in 2008 for her dear friend Tina "Tina Bean" Collins (of Tina and Her Pony! Visit tinaandherpony.com if you too want to fall in love).

Since then, we've learned that a family named their dog Bean, after this song. #madeit!

For the lead vocals we chose Pierce Edens, whose gruff and muppetesque delivery lends a wistful-monster quality to the song's narration. We find this terribly charming. Imagine a scary-looking, slightly scary-sounding, but lovelorn gentle creature wandering through a springtime meadow. Perhaps he's playing she-loves-me, she-loves-me-not with flower petals. He certainly has a daisy tucked behind one furry ear.
